The name Descent Into Madness appeared on the Houston scene in early 2001. After several lineup changes and few years later, the band met Jennifer Lazure (ex-Last Eve) in 2005. The guys were struck by Jennifer's talent and asked her to join, which resulted to Alex taking over on male vocals. The first demo EP with Jennifer, "Rites of Illusion" (2005) was followed shortly thereafter with "Fool's March"(2006). In May 2008 the group finished out the "King of The Blind" EP to critical acclaim, receiving radio play at WVBR, Ithaca, NY, Zsentient, Death.fm and other radio shows. Stephen Richardson (What Lies Beneath, Funeral Rites) joined in November 2008 on drums and after a one year search, Descent Into Madness have added Nathan Peek (bass) to the ranks. Currently the band is booking shows and is in preproduction mode on a new demo, tentatively scheduled for release spring of 2010.
